"Opening ceremony" 2023-2024

The "Student Researcher" Scholarship Program, organized by the AMT since the 2011-2012 academic year, held the opening ceremony for its 13th academic year.

AMT Director Herve Kuafa Lontti opened the event and highlighted that this program has been running successfully for 13 years. He also emphasized that graduates of the program are now working successfully in various research fields at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) institutes, universities, and research organizations.

The event was attended by researchers from the Institute of Language and Literature of the MAS, including Senior Researcher and Ph.D. G. Gerelmaa, Senior Researcher T. Batbymba, Senior Researcher Kh. Gendenpil, Senior Researcher M. Bilguunchimeg from the Language Archive and Laboratory, as well as Ph.D. G. Naranthungalag, Lecturer I. Davaadorj, Ph.D. J. Ganbaatar, and researcher students from the Department of History and Archaeology of the National University of Mongolia (NUM), among others.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, the "Student Researcher" Scholarship Program engaged 28 students, 18 of whom published articles in the "Academic Chain" journal. Additionally, a student research conference was held, where the top three winners were awarded:

First place: P. Buyantogt, a fourth-year student from NUM's Department of Mongolian Language and Linguistics.
Second place: B. Barkhassuren, a third-year student from NUM's Department of Asian Studies.
Third place: Ts. Namuun, a second-year student from NUM's Department of History and Archaeology.
A special award was given to E. Dorjsuren, a third-year student from NUM's Department of Literature and Arts Studies.
These awardees received certificates, valuable prizes, and recognition for their outstanding research. The "Alumni Award" was presented to E. Ganbayar, a third-year student from NUM's Department of Literature and Arts Studies, on behalf of past graduates. The award ceremony included presentations from 2014 graduate M. Bilguunchimeg, 2019 graduates Kh. Gendenpil, D. Lkhagvagerel, 2020 graduate I. Davaadorj, and others, who received certificates, monetary awards, research books, and journals.

Several outstanding mentors were also honored for guiding student research and supporting AMT’s initiatives. The awardees included:

Ph.D. J. Ganbaatar, Lecturer at NUM's Department of Mongolian Language and Linguistics.
Ph.D. B. Azyayaa, Lecturer at NUM's Department of Asian Studies.
I. Davaadorj, Lecturer at NUM's Department of Literature and Arts Studies.
B. Batchimeg, Lecturer at NUM's Department of History and Archaeology.
At the opening of the 2023-2024 academic year, we extend our best wishes for success in academic pursuits and research endeavors to all the researchers, faculty, and students who attended. We also express our gratitude to the CICM organization and AMT’s leadership for their continued support in making this program a success.
